I’m sure many of you have used the BrainPop website to teach new concepts to your class. It is a great resource that provides animated educational movies -- some free, some for a fee.

Well now there’s BrainPop Junior for younger students. Each topic includes the following:

2. • Ideas for grown ups - lesson plans & activities
   

3. • A game - students play the game to reinforce the concept
   

4. • An activity - print and copy for students
   

5. • Belly up - a cartoon about the topic
   

6. • Pop a joke - a joke related to the topic

8. • Quiz - options for “hard quiz” and “easy quiz”
   

9. • Draw about - an online drawing area with prompt
   

10. • Write about it - an online word processor with prompt
    

11. • Read about it - links to books about the topic
    

12. • Talk about it - a discussion prompt
    

The BEST thing about BrainPop Jr. is that at is this point it is all free. It probably won’t remain free forever, so take advantage of it while you can!
