It’s very simple for students of any age to create a bar (column) graph using a spreadsheet. It’s so easy, even a teacher can do it!

1.Open a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.

2.Enter some data. For this example, we’ll take use “favorite fall sports”.

3.Highlight any cells that have data in them.

4.Click the Chart Wizard icon - or pull down the Insert menu to Chart.

5.Follow the steps of the wizard to create the chart.
Move and/or resize the chart if you want. -
6.Double-click different elements of the chart to change the color, alignment, style, etc.
